The hotel is an ITC property. So obviously, their standards are very high, which is good. Having said that, this place has been one of the best 5 star restaurants in town since many years.
I do not exactly know as to why it is called Madhuban, as it is completely an indoor restaurant. Maybe lack of creativity back then forced them into naming it the way it is named. Anyway, that is another story. The place serves buffet breakfast and dinners along side a la carte. I have had the a la carte option rarely as their buffets are very sumptuous. But whenever I have had it, I have gone back home extremely happy.
Talking about the buffet, its diverse, huge and very tasty. It follows the principle of 'little of everything". Its the usual fare with the breads and the soups and the salads and the pasta counter. Seldom have I been welcomed with an exotic offering like a traditional rann Hyderabadi or a true blue risotto or a thai red curry with rice. But however, the regular fare is incredible too. Its my go to place for a lavish lazy breakfast as Aurangabad seriously does not have any good breakfast places. That brings us to the desserts. The desserts here are not exactly 5 star, but they do the job. They have atleast 7-8 desserts on offer for their dinner buffets. It includes gateaux', pastries, pies and truffles along with ice cream.
The staff is incredibly warm and treats you extremely well. The service could get a little sloppy when the place is full. But that could be excused. The ambience could be a little more intimate but again, thats being too critical. All in all, Good stuff. Pretty ok on the pocket too.
